The founders, Cleo Vaughan and James Bennett are specialists in their field, with over 35 years combined experience in Australasia, the UK & Europe.
Cleo has over 18 years of experience in the property industry and is highly regarded as an exceptional project manager and people leader. She started her career in London where she trained and qualified as an RICS Chartered Surveyor in 2007, moving into Project Management shortly afterwards. Cleo relocated to Sydney in 2011.
Cleo previously worked with market leading project management firms in Sydney and the UK, with her primary focus on commercial project management. She has experience across all areas of commercial project management ranging from asset capital expenditure/re- positioning works to workplace consultancy and flt-out projects.
Cleo has taken senior leadership roles at her previous firms, providing guidance and direction for projects and mentor-ship for team members. Cleo has developed a strong passion and specialist skill-set in complex workplace projects, including provision of technical advice and input into occupier transactions (HOAs and AFLs), together with provision of workplace strategy advice.
James started his career in the Project Management and Building Consultancy department at Deloitte Real Estate in the UK, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Construction Manager. In 2012, James relocated to Australia and joined the Project Management and Building Consultancy department at Knight Frank, eventually becoming a Partner and leading the NSW business. James co-founded Sandstone Project Management in 2022 following a strong desire to refocus on his passion - working more closely with clients to deliver exceptional projects and create great experiences.
James has a broad range of experience, having worked with a range of public and private sector clients in various sectors. He has specialist experience in commercial fit-out, asset repositioning, major refurbishment, strategic workplace advice, new build construction, development monitoring, building and cost consultancy.

Gisela is an experienced Senior Project Manager with more than 20 years experience in the construction industry working across both contractor and client side.
For the past 10 years Gisela has primarily focused on the delivery of interior office fit-outs and ensures her strong communication and interpersonal skills are front of mind in the delivery of her projects allowing her to keep her clients engaged and effectively navigate challenges and derive solutions collaboratively.
Jess is an experienced client-side project manager who has delivered many high value and complex projects across multiple property sectors throughout Australia.
Jess has a well-considered approach to project management, drawing from her experience in real estate sales; procurement; project and people management, providing a comprehensive service to her clients.
Jessica is an experienced project manager having delivered projects for major landlords and occupiers throughout NSW. She has extensive knowledge in construction and building, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of Authority approvals and legislative requirements, particularly in the City of Sydney.
Jessica's ability to deliver projects on time and on budget is supported by her great problem-solving skills, negotiation, quick thinking and initiative, enabling her to adroitly respond to project developments and identify solutions.
She draws on her highly refined organisational and scheduling skills and verbal and written communication abilities to manage stakeholder relationships across all levels of organisations.
